There is nothing "sacred" about geometry.

At least no more than "sacred luncheon meats" or "sacred toe nail clippings."

Perhaps in the day,the only ones with this type of formal knowlede were the priesthood.

That to me would be an explanation of the use of the word "sacred",and reason enough why this group would keep this knowledge to themselves.

Keep the masses fearful and ignorant to keep your power over them.

How the priesthood acquired this knowledge,I'm not going there.(shrugging shoulders and signing off)
