Sometimes I'm toasted when I post.

I looked for heaters on line,
and there must be a gazillion out there.

Mom - your nearest trusted hardware guy should help you with this one. The ceramic ones I found that had the thermostat, wattage settings, and multi-speed fans, were from sixty to a hundred bones. There were several that had recalls on them - so a bit of due diligence on your part may be in order here, and why I would ask Trusted HardwareGuy.

I suggest simpler approach
go to local hardware store
ask for very inexpensive space heater
which is effective
and buy it
tell him you are internet addict, and just want to keep your tootsies warm while you post
and have room toasted up round you
Love, Palo

get simple one which has 3 settings, low, medium, high
research is not needed
let hardware storeman share his expertise with you

Thanks for the info...we shall have to make a trip out, and see what we can get, something safe is of course, the most important thing...I know that in the past, I have heard about space heaters causing fires...I know the one that we had was from Sunbeam(of course, because my dad worked there), and the one safety feature I really remember, is that if the space heater got knocked over, for whatever reason, it automatically shut off....

We shall have to look around....
