I don't know if the display is different on an LCD, but I checked the settings: High Res(16bit) color at 1024x768 the max that it will go in the 16 bit mode.
Way too many options here. ;-) Keep the pics coming.

At 1024 it will need one and three quarter screens to accomodate the width.
