that's a second amendment issue... I left that one alone. It just seemed to cruel at the time to go after the cat statement (especially since I used to have one). But now that you mention it... :^)
But I have to ask, what if it wasn't a second amendment issue?

i'm not sure i understand your question, but what i meant by my statement, is that any man that hurt my cats would need killin'.

i'm not sure i understand your question, but what i meant by my statement, is that any man that hurt my cats would need killin'. I can tell you that I meant something entirely different. I had thought, for some reason, that you were implying that her ex (lucky as he is) had exercised his second amendment rights with her cats.
That's assuming that anything she said is true, but that's a different battle.
BTW, I'd be pretty much the same WRT my cat if I still had him. He's living with my brother-in-law's brother now due to severe allergies.

You have yet to explain how all that equates to maturity. Its hard to figure out where you are coming from, as I apparently assume that the baseline capabilities of women are a lot higher than you are asserting. You act like mundane activities are glorious achievements of personal responsibility and maturity. If you actually believe this then you are painting a picture of women being far more pathetic than most men assume. Your argument boils down to "women are more mature than men because they overcame their natural inferiority to be equal to men", or at least that is how your argument reads.
So how about giving a substantial example? How do women exceed men in maturity? HINT: Saying that women can now do what men have always been doing is a mind-bogglingly stupid example. I would have to assume that you are a troll, since such examples strongly imply that women are substantially less capable creatures.

I do think that a large number of young women these days are rather selfish. Many will act as though they can do nothing wrong, and that you're the one that has the problem, all the while you've been a perfect gentleman.
This doesn't describe every young woman, and there are a few out there who are genuinely dignified, and who want a man that will lead.
My suggestion? If you're a Christian, attend a Christian Singles Praise & Worship within your respective city. At some of these gatherings, there are upwards of 1,500 single Christian women, so you have a good chance of meeting a good woman.

It was a long and winding road. Thank God for all blessings daily. It keeps the petty things in perspective.

Oh, I watched the tape. It told me who I definitely could not trust among some mutual acquaintances. I will not have any dealings with those folks to this day, in business or personal life.
In the end, it (the tape)was only used as a deterrent, not as evidence. We had little enough to split without feeding lawyers.
Her reaction when confronted was one of attack. A calmly voiced threat to disclose the videotape shut that down and permitted a fair and rational split.
I just wanted out at that point, but it was nice not to lose everything else to get there.

So why do Americans get marriage licenses? Because they are dumbed down and ignorant, and that's by design. A most excellent observation.
