just got off phone with bank lady
I was curious to know why bank helped themself to $500 from my account to cover all my bounced checks
when it turned out they didn't cover them, sent them all back
turned out lady who said we covered them all for you was in error
they didn't cover any of them
the lady today said we took $200 from your account to pay for bouncing your checks
she said the other 300 was to cover debit card withdrawals
seems mystery is cleared up
and I just have to face the bouncy checks all over again

It's scary how careless the bank is with YOUR money. Makes me think it's safer to store money under the mattress -- except that my change would stick to the magnets (heehee).
