I pretty much agree with you about FR. Sure, there're some really rude and arrogant, bad folks posting here, but most of the members are nice, most are intelligent and thoughtful. On the whole it's a great and educational site that provides a unique forum for "conservatives," whatever "conservatives" means. In addition to providing our home, the New Hobbit Hole.

But seriously, we are a pretty "admirable and estimable" bunch of Freepers here in the Hobbit Hole, aren't we? (I feel kind of funny saying that, having only been here a few weeks. But so far, I haven't seen anything to contradict that assessment).
