Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think anyone has been

It was purposely Over-The-Top Site Banishment, meant to be nearly on par with Excommunication! This tactic may now be seen as counterproductive and ‘bad business’.

True. Big public zotting helped tribal unity. But so did the opus out and I haven’t seen that in a while either.

That's another thing that has gone 180 on this site. Zotting. Trolls getting the Zot used to be a full contact sport. A troll getting the zot would be like red meat to a wolf with FReepers piling on with "Well Bye" comments.
