I suspect younger folks are just used to the easy one-click process you find on modern social media platforms. Click the like or just reply and EASILY share a meme or image. We also don’t get breaking news articles anymore. It literally takes a death or war to have something pinned as breaking. I still come here first but have to admit that most of my news comes from either citizen free press or twitter. Not as many dedicated freepers left.
