True? Never knew it.
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled When Fukushima exploded, foreign embassies told everyone to FLEE. Commercial planes turned around. Ships steered away as fast as they could. And where was the USS Ronald Reagan? STEERING DIRECTLY INTO IT. AT MAXIMUM SPEED., Sequoyah101 wrote: True? Never knew it.
I believe it's true. When I read about it, back when it was happening, the MSM made it sound like incompetence and indifference to the survival of the enlisted onboard. I was moved to finally read of the mission. The writer is a man from Japan now living in the US, writing about the contrasts in culture, often humorously.
Of course, Wikipedia doesn’t mention it in the article about Fukashima. In the article about USS Ronald Reagan, it has only negative things to say. No surprise there.
