Might be some correlation with the fact that 60% of college graduates are now women, and women want to marry “up.”

Excellent point. And if they follow that education to a more successful business career with access to occassional men on their terms it slows the natural selection process of give and take.

You might also add that men are afraid of successful women. They have been programmed to stand down now rather than take the gamble at a more permanent relationship now. And our lifestyle is also filled with co-habitation rather than a marriage contract.

What compounds the problem is that a lot of these college women are getting degrees in either useless fields, or fields that are actually destructive to themselves or society in general, such as "Women's Studies" or anything else with "Studies" at the end. Even traditionally honorable subjects have been captured and corrupted by "wokeness". For example, there is a young female writer I have seen complaining about how the only literature she ever studied in her Ivy League English and Literature classes were things like Marx and critiques of literature, rather than literature itself.

So, while many women see themselves, due to their degrees, as being "above" a tradesman or a blue collar worker, they are actually less educated than the men they look down on. Imagine the dynamic in a relationship with one of those. It would be intolerable and certain to lead to constant strife and eventual divorce. What young man would want to subject himself to that?

Might be that many come with a six-figure bill for a junk degree. Also, i wouldn’t get married these days without running a credit report!

A woman with a college degree in women's studies or Liberal Arts isn't necessarily going to earn more money than a man who learns a trade.

The reason fewer men are going to college these days is because a generic college degree no longer guarantees a stable, good-paying job in the way that it did decades ago, so many people are opting for vocational schools and apprenticeships instead as a path to success.
