I find this one hard to fathom. Widdecombe was a prominent and well known social conservative. I'll be shocked if it isn't politically motivated despite what they're saying right now...

Someone on another site pointed out that even brown perps are called white, so this guy could be of any ethnic background.
Also, Keir Starmer said: it's important to "rise above any political differences." Did he say that because he knows her death was politically motivated? I hope police will report a motive, because I'm damn tired of them saying they have no idea what the perp's motive was.
