All you need to do is remove the barriers to natural gas. I’d love a gas stove, gas water heater......which are no longer allowed in NYS.
“I’d love a gas stove, gas water heater”
They are great. I can’t imagine government outlawing appliances that perform so well. But, of course, they are trying to “save the planet.”
CA is passing a law to outlaw replacement of gas water heaters. Insane.
In Massachusetts, new gas hookups to a home must now be paid directly by the homeowner, instead of being assumed by the gas infrastructure provider.
In my end of Mass, we had a WEEK-LONG power outage around Halloween 2011. My gas heater had a piezoelectric (crystal) ignition on the thermostat. I had plenty of hot water due to the gas distribution not being affected by the blackout. That’s a useful consideration for preppers.
I have a gas furnace, a gas water heater, a gas stove and a gas dryer. And when they need replacing it will be with gas units. I'm so glad I don't live in a totalitarian state.
