It would have been much more successful if they had cast Sidney Sweeney as Supergirl.

She's popular and her 15 minutes are not up yet...but we know Hollywood will never do that.

True enough. She has roughly 10 years left to rake in as much dough as she can before Hollywood kicks her to the curb.

IMO, Sidney Sweeney is literally and figuratively overexposed.

Compare Sidney’s career model to that of Elvis Presley’s.
I know they are quite different, one a singer, the other an actress. In Elvis early years, his manager
Colonel Tom Parker, was very careful to keep Elvis’ availability at a very low setting. The idea was to always leave the audiences wanting more, never giving them everything in a predictable way. Keeping the appearances of his Client seeming like an exclusive and fantastic event.
