I would have had a smidgen of pity for the gays that contracted AIDS if it had not been for the immediate indignant bow-up against conservatives and Pres. Reagan for "not doing enough" to combat what homosexuals were solely responsible for by their willful, wanton behavior.

This was the monolithic belligerent attitude from homosexuals; there could have been some exceptions that I missed, but for the most part they ALL blamed society: "homophobia," lack of sufficient healthcare, inability to "marry," etc. They are STILL doing this, x10.

So my attitude is "enjoy your AIDS. You asked for it."

I hear you—it's revolting; but lumping every individual under the rhetoric of the loudest mouths can also be a mistake. As an American voter, do you wish to be judged solely by what Pelosi, Schumer and Jeffries say and do?

I knew several of these guys who were the first to admit it was a disorder, but by the time they recognized it, they were in their 40s and had a relatively stable life they were reluctant to disrupt or lose a job over.

One of the saddest things about the promotion of gay life after Stonewall (1969) is that the loudest mouths also prevented and cancelled any research aimed at finding the causes and possible remedies for gay behavior. Activists as early as the ’70s had the wording of the medical community's bible, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, changed in order to stop calling homosexuality a psychological or mental disorder. So the teens and young adults who got into it back then soon found, like the mafia, they couldn't get out—it was becoming a political movement. And by now, it's an institution.

When I was immersed in that community 40 years ago, and being a friendly Christian person who believes all can be redeemed, I would sometimes find out the life story of many of these folks. And I usually heard about being seduced by an older person—a priest, teacher or coach; or the death of a parent and/or time spent in foster care, wrecking their childhood; or serious neglect or sexual abuse by a parent. Few were just in it for no reason—only to be faced with a tsunami of wicked promotion of the lifestyle when they came of age. Good therapy might have saved a few. But even Republican governors have participated in outlawing anything considered "conversion" therapy.

That said, the more recent "marriage" and adoption of children movements truly make me ill. The truth needs to be told--it's a highly dysfunctional and even dangerous way of life; and its ascendance is very destruction to our society.
