Anyone who is on life dependent medication is non deployable. You can’t guarantee the supply chain of such medications and you can’t guarantee access to a doctor either. This is why anyone with such conditions cannot pass medical eligibility for enlistment. HIV should not have special rules.
Do not watch many commercials these days, but one really floored me.
The title of the commercial could have been Undetectable.
The medicine is Truvada Antiretroviral Therapy (ART).
With enough of the medicine, “some” people’s tests will result in HIV being “undetectable.” It does not say “gone” “cured” just.... we cannot detect it.
At the end of the commercial they made it obvious that, with the undetectable result..... “You can start dating again!”

Okay, time for me to email RFK, Jr to send him POZ article saying that HIV infection immediately causes the infected individual to prematurely age 14 years, which means they get cancers, kidney diseases, dementia, plus other diseases. Google AI now says HIV infected only age 5-7 years. I doubt that, and I assume it is a flat out lie to homosexuals.

An HIV soldier is wounded on the battlefield. His blood gets into an open gash of a medic, who subsequently develops HIV. The DOD gets sued. The Army’s lawyer claims the medic is lying and got HIV from closeted homosexual activity—prove us wrong! His wife, parents and children are heartbroken. He ends his own life. The HIV guy mostly recovers, gets disability for life, and parties on.
