Dear President Trump:

Turn Israel loose, let them do the needful.

Respectfully,

Very good. We did Iran’s dirty work taking out Saddam. Trump unleashed our domestic oil so there’s a window of opportunity while OPEC builds those pipelines across Saudi Arabia-an acknowledgement they’re afraid of the mullahs. Hopefully the Iran folks will rise up and there won’t be a need to target civilians. Perhaps the Shah’s son can be a unifying figure without the ruling power and we thread the needle when it comes to eliminating the crazies. A tall order.

**We can concentrate on keeping the oil tankers safe.**
Let the euroweenies deal with it-and the Chicoms. We supply Japan. Then on to Cuba.

“Regime change” meant deposing the mullahs and the sixty thousand or so who control the oil industry, the bazaars, the banks, the IRGC, the food supply, the diplomats and the military. These are the brutal people that have killed, maimed and imprisoned tens of thousands to maintain power. After two weeks of directed bombing, this barbaric regime was tottering. The Iranian Kurds were willing and able, with direct Israeli support to spearhead a definitive assault. The repressed protestors would have cooperated. The Kurds were restrained when Turkey feared they would create a Kurdistan out a Western Iran.

If you ever speak with educated Iranian ex pats in the US, most supported the “revolution”. They viewed the revolution as a way to rid themselves of the shah who they viewed as the illegitimate and corrupt ruler who was empowered by the American intervention in Iranian politics at the peak of the cold war. The expected a secular, somewhat leftist regime. None ever imagined that Iran would become a repressive theocracy. The ex pats never admit it but they know however imperfect was the shah, Iran would have been far better off had the “revolution” had not occurred and if things had evolved peacefully.

IMHO the week following the intensive bombing and the killing of the murderous Ayatollah was a lost historic opportunity to bring an end to the mullah nightmare.

There’s more. The mullahs and the IRGC people know they’re better off dealing with Trump than Bibi with Trump being the good cop. It could facilitate a ‘workable’ solution. Trump has 2 and a half years left. He’s not wasting any time.

**however imperfect was the shah, Iran would have been far better off had the “revolution” had not occurred and if things had evolved peacefully.**
All it suggests is whoever rules must do so with an iron fist. That means killing people. Saddam did it in Iraq. It’s the middle east after all.

Trump Tells Israel It Could Be ‘On Its Own’ After
Being Warned by Trump Over Israel’s Iran Escalation

Israel has long been identified as conducting aggressive intelligence operations against the US. Significant cases include the convict Jonathan Pollard case, an Israeli spy employed by the US Navy.

Despite Israeli surveillance concerns, “intelligence cooperation”
continues, say US officials fearful of the “anti-semitic” label.

Never ever discussed is Israel’s failure to share intel it had about the infamous “911” when 3500 Americans died.....an event plotted in Israel’s backyard (with the Mossad taking notes, no doubt).

Israel has, of course, predictably denied these allegations fearful that its gross behavior would cut
off tax dollar billions to the tiny sliver in the vast Mideast whining about being wholly dependent on US foreign aid.

The hipsters believed they were working to overthrow a dictator. Now that they are old, they realize they had a free country, and the shah was fighting to keep the communists and islamists at bay. If and when they regain control of their country, they will need a strong man at the top and an effective Savak to keep the monsters at bay.

Netanyahu’s defiant Israel-First statements to MAGA Trump
has contributed to friction with Israel’s US financiers.

Trump’s effort is toward prevention of a broader regional war and to preserve diplomatic leverage
while Israel——supplied with endless free US armaments——prefers bombing for peace.

People would have different opinions if the missiles and bus bombs were going off in DC.

In other words..."If Iran had the ability to affect our nation, nobody would complain about the mess that we just created for the benefit of another nation."

It reminds me of when Sam Harris said that if Covid had been a deadlier virus, everyone would have thought that his take on lockdowns, masks and vaccines would have been correct.

Israel could be the one to finish them off and they should do the honors.

The simple fact is Israel can't finish Iran without heavy US involvement. But I agree, let them try...and fail. It would be a lesson in humility they sorely need to learn the hard way.

Except COVID was not deadlier, and Iran does have the ability to affect our nation, thanks to its support of islamic terror.

The Trump train wreck is rapidly heading to the bridge out sign as if America abandons Israel it is done and over with.

But we have been actively engaged in a hot war with them for months and they haven’t been able to hit us.

“Imagine a world where the facts are different than they are in the real world. In that world MY opinion would be right.”

They had not been engaging in nuclear research since 2008.

Under the JCPOA they were NOT refining Uranium over 4%

They don’t have the ability to launch missiles at the U.S.

In 70 years of conflict with the middle east, there has NEVER been one time that Shia Islamists have attacked the mainland of the United States.

In every one of our recent provocations leading up to the war, they have taken the option of de-escalation.

They were NOT a threat to us. They were a threat to Israel and that is why we attacked them. We crippled our economy and the world economy, burned hundreds of billions of dollars, gave China and Russia a glimpse into our abilities (or lack thereof)....FOR THE BENEFIT OF ANOTHER COUNTRY.

That is treason.

Iran has provided material support to Al Qaeda whose members flew into the World Trade Center, for one.

Your claim about not engaging in nuclear research since 2008 is absurd. They’ve had nuclear scientists assassinated by Israel well after that date. They were not retired.

You’re also ignoring their continuing work on a ballistic missile program.

Sounds to me like your working for the benefit of Iran. Since you’re probably not an American, I can’t call that treason.

Actually, Iran has hit us. By proxy through the Houthi (Red Sea attacks = attacks on traffic in Suez Canal). Much like Pakistan and Afghanistan hit our homeland on Sep 11 by proxy through Al Qaeda. Everyone knew Pakistan was about as much involved with Al Qaeda as Afghanistan was. Especially after bin Laden was found in Pakistan.

Did you like the war we waged on Pakistan? We didn't go to war against them? Oh yeah, we didn't go to war with Pakistan because they had nukes. That's a lesson for what happens if a Muslim nation that attacks by proxy (like Iran has done against Israeli homeland and the U.S. cargo and navy ships) but has nukes (which Iran doesn't have yet). We can't under any circumstances let Iran have nukes -- or they'll be even more passionate with attacking us. In other words, now is the time for war with Iran.

“On its own” is likely what Israel wants from the US in this conflict, rather than “held back by a leash” or “actively threatened”.

This is incorrect. There is no proof of this. Our ally Saudi Arabia on the other hand did provide them support.

Your claim about not engaging in nuclear research since 2008 is absurd. They’ve had nuclear scientists assassinated by Israel well after that date. They were not retired.

I apologize. I misstated what I meant to say. I was attempting to say they haven't engaged in nuclear WEAPONS research since 2008. Obviously they engaged in nuclear research. The JPCOA that I mentioned in my post was an agreement on that nuclear research.

>You’re also ignoring their continuing work on a ballistic missile program.

Why haven't they used them to hit us or anyone outside of their middle east neighbors?

I am an American and like Trump was back in 2016....I am America FIRST.

I continue to maintain that position while Trump and many of you have changed your position to America SECOND.

“Israel could be the one to finish them off and they should do the honors.”

They won’t finish them off, they’ll just harm citizens under passive acceptance with no capacity to physical or forceful resistance. And there is a lot more to the deal than just stopping iran and Israel.

The potential U.S.-Iran peace deal centers on preventing nuclear proliferation, securing global energy routes, and reshaping Middle Eastern geopolitics. Other countries that share an interest include Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, Egypt and Jordan, Pakistan, and other countries with interests in the region like France, The UK, Russia and China. And this is the short list.

I was replying to a comment suggesting that people would be more likely to support the war if we were being hit in Washington DC.

Of course the country we are engaged in war with is going to use their proxies to attack us in any way they can.

My argument is that they are either:

1.) Incapable of hitting our homeland

or

2.) Unwilling to do so because of the consequences

The fact that we just killed a number of their leaders, destroyed billions of dollars of military equipment, shut down their economy...and they haven’t attacked us at home means that it has to be one of those options.

Regardless of which one it is, they were not a threat to our homeland.
