The differences I saw between my recent visit and my visit 40 years ago was breathtaking...absolutely incredible. majority rule has caused a fully developed nation to collapse into a typical African country (I've seen several "typical" African countries as well as SA).
The problem was that they didn't transition to majority rule after apartheid. They should have split up the country into something like Capetown, Durban, Pretoria/Johannesburg.
What would you expect? Where’s Yogi on all this?
SA has big time problems with illegals. The blacks there don’t want to share what the white people built in SA with their fellow Africans.

By your own admission, it was far better than the current alternative. I don't judge good or bad based on an imaged alternative of some idealized world, I base it on real choices that are on the table - i.e. Apartheid vs. Xhosa tribal rule. By that standard, Apartheid rule was a net good.
A typical African country?
Like “Zimbabwe” (the former Rhodesia)?
