He’s appealing the sentence, and so is the prosecution. That means that instead of being immediately sent to a work prison, he’s stuck in an overcrowded, hellish detention unit until the thing is worked out, which could take - wait for it - another six months. Got some real bad advice from his lawyer, did Johnny.

Korea has a great system, in that after a sentence, the victims can petition the judge to reconsider and increase the sentence, which is what is happening now to this miscreant.
