And I agree with him on the pomegranate juice… it’s delicious and I get the big jug of it at Costco for $9 (I think?), but it is also a huge hit of sugar. 39g in a cup. (Mountain Dew has something like 42g in a 12 oz can.) so I only take 2 oz occasionally. Don’t want to start my morning on a sugar high.

You could swap the spinach for purslane. It might be growing in your yard. If you want more benefits from spinach cook it just a tad. OJ and lemon juice will do the trick because of the acidity. Arugula can be very “spicy” or “peppery” and might ruin your smoothie. Arugula is to be used as a supplemental flavor in salads for this very reason.
