Sea roaches aka lobster are meat too.
Protein is protein.
I like letting my chickens turn fly larvae into eggs and Mesquite smoked quesadillas first for me though.
That said grasshoppers are good, so are ants and locusts too they don’t call them desert shrimp for nothing. Tarantula legs when fried have what tastes and looks like crab meat in them and so does the body meat. Given that shrimp and crabs and arthropods are less than 1% DNA away yeah to be expected.
Would the press have gone as crazy the past week if the military had spent $20 million dollars on feeding bugs to the troops instead of steak and sea roaches?
When I was a kid we used crayfish for bait. Now my wife has them shipped in from Texas or Loisiana.
