Wife and I got up to see the totality. Clear skies west of Tucson. I’ve seen several lunar eclipses, but this was her first.

I’ve only seen two total solar eclipses, in 1979 and 2017 (we both saw the latter). Next one visible from the U.S. will be in 2044. I hope to see that one too, if I’m still around at 89.

We saw the total solar eclipse in April, 2024 from our driveway. We sat outside with neighbors and had a quick party, about 2-3 hours long. It was so fascinating, beautiful, and a little eerie all at the same time.

God willing, we will be here for the next one same as you.
