Friendly Fire shootdown because there is no red white & blue
Star n bar on these F15’s. Indistinguishable from a MiG29 at high speed.It’s all grey. Even my cat can figure this one out ..At least Normandy P47’s had 3 white wing stripes. They could at least paint the tail or wings yellow or red and go 7700 ...Whoo is in charge of this nonsense?

Really? First we don’t know why they shot them down-bad IFF mode(s), not comss with their hq, not read in on the missions, aircraft involved... I always thought that painting stripes on the planes was counter-productive, i.e. everyone knew what to look for to target and what stopped the enemy from doing the same? That’s why we are grilled about aircraft and ground systems visual recognition.

I don’t think they are squinting through the sites of an 88 mm anti aircraft gun anymore.

Air defense systems are no longer sight activated so any visual observation is non existant.

Friendlies are identified via whatever IFF frequency they are broadcasting.
