"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

I Listened to the unnamed man making assertions about GITMO, he mentioned a recent Trump Executive Order. I felt doubtful, so I looked up in the Federal Register of all executive orders in 2025 and 2026 (guy said it was in 2025) and NO such EO.

I’ve long had my own screening/hiring system. I try to hire the first person who comes in the door. First, he got here on his own. Second, he must want a job. A few questions to learn about his skill set. Show him what I do and ask if he could do it. Make sure he’s not a felon ‘cause I do too many things that would be a problem for. Last, tell him he’s got 30 days to show me what he’s got. The only one I’ve ever gotten wrong was a guy who lied about being on probation. Not long after he broke it the sheriff hauled his butt off. Getting too close to my guns did him in.

Good job! You have great insight and instincts. Dealing with teenagers looking for their first job is a bit challenging since few have any skills yet. As a provider of entry level jobs, it was my job to teach them all of the skills to do the work I needed done and sufficient skills to move beyond our entry level job.

Thanks...I haven’t thought about this in a long while.
After my grandfather died(1964), and after awhile, her youngest son (my uncle) bought her a parakeet or budgie (I could never tell the difference ).
From that point on, she was almost never without one.
I lived with my grandmother after H.S. graduation(1967), and on occasion, my dad lived with us...he was in and out.(we all ended up living together in 1969 - we left the projects and the bird came with us.)

All the parakeets/budgies had great relationships with my grandmother except one...he/she was mean from the day he was gotten and was biting my grandmother while he died. he never sang like the others but was a constant squawker.

My dad wanted to tie the bird to a fishing line, open the window, let him fly out, then reel him in when the outside birds started to attack...thankfully, that never happened.

I never could tell a male from a female...she had one we thought was a male, then laid an egg...it was hollow.

she had one bird that would sit on her shoulder and read the paper with her and he only did it with her.
The bird’s head would go left to right in harmony with my grandmother’s...too funny.

They all had the run of the place.. Cage was seldom closed...

The birds brought joy to her life and ours...
