This former wench, placed herself in a situation she had no business being in, and harmed an officer of the law. According to MN statute, a police officer has no duty to retreat, and it can easily be seen that it is justified.

She did strike him, and he’d already started the shooting action. Happened in what looks like less than a second.
I don’t like the shoot, I don’t think she was trying to “run him over” because the fact that the wheel was turned indicates that, but accelerating with someone in front of you is reckless and dangerous behavior. I think the totality of the circumstance should allow it to be legally justified.
I saw another video and based on where he was standing in front of the vehicle and his attention was on the driver he would not have been able to see what way the wheels were turned. Maybe not he intention but a reasonable officer could believe that she was trying to run him down and with his history of actually be run down and dragged (38 stitches) he acted.
