Hmmm, from a Pede.

So we all know our calendar is massively screwed up, but just wanted to point out a possibility...

Sept means 7, Oct means 8, Nov is 9 and Dec is 10. That would make January 11, and today 11.3

Sept is french for 7, Oct is abbreviated octogon (8 sides), Nov comes from the Latin word “novem,” which means nine. Dec is a latin prefix for 10.
