As a former (many years ago) meter reader for the electric company, I am very familiar with the use of pepper spray (we called it dog spray, and yes, I’d practice my draw when I thought nobody was looking). Spray into the wind, and you would get a dose of it yourself.
Also learned that there are a few dogs that didn’t seem to mind being sprayed.
Actually didn’t use it but a handful of times in the 4 years that I did the meter reading gig.
