The DeParture Of DeSantis

An America First/MAGA Rebuttal to 2026 State of the State Speech.

https://miamiindependent.com/politics/2026/01/19/the-departure-of-desantis/

Excerpt:

.....Dear Lord, please don’t let his actions go further than the Sunshine State, as DeGov’s “results” have been cloaked in some very shady reality.

Those of us who love our Constitutional Republic, working and praying for its survival, hope that the underhanded and unconstitutional moves that DeSantis has made in his two terms as Governor of Florida, do NOT appear on the national stage!

Since every “State of the State” address must have a rebuttal, here’s mine. It’s not from an opposing party, as it the norm, but from the heart of a committed conservative, who has come to know this man too well.

This one is on behalf of Americans everywhere, who hold freedom dear - especially the thousands of America First/MAGA Constitutionalists who were literally removed from the the Republican Party of Florida by DeSantis and his minions.

.....*YES, Florida has added jobs since the pandemic.

*YES, Florida is ONE of the states that cooperate with the Trump administration in removal of illegal invaders. Thirty six others do, also. DeSantis DID mandate cooperation with ICE and the US Border Patrol, because he could see illegal immigration at the top of the nation’s voters’ concerns.

Floridians should be glad that the governor is finally talking about the invasion of the undocumented. Since 2019, right after DeSantis took office, Florida Motor Vehicle Bureau workers have been required to give voter registration forms to people who do not have proof of citizenship when they come for a drivers’ license. This is the same year that Florida joined ERIC, the Electronic Registration Information Center that stores (and will not return) voter’s data.

Governor Rick Scott refused to join Florida to the ERIC system, because he felt that it gathered AND RETAINED too much personal information on his citizens.

NOW, when DeSantis is on the way out, there is a bill for consideration to require proof of citizenship before voting. It’s the latest “thing”. How many illegals have registered and voted since 2019??

*YES, DeSantis mandated, in 2020, an increase in Florida’s teachers’ pay, BUT this did not include pay for veteran teachers. The Florida Education Association, the state teacher’s union, says that despite recent pay increases, Florida is consistently at the bottom for U.S. teacher pay. The NEA ranks the state second to last, despite recent pay increases, which have not even kept up with inflation.

*YES, he boasted that the state has more than tripled its rainy-day fund and paid off nearly half of the state’s taxpayer supported debt. BUT…

DeGov failed to mention the $40+ BILLION unfunded liability for the optional pension plan available to state employees, in addition to the basic State plan. If you remember, this optional plan is the one termed “Triple Dipping”. See the website, researched and developed by Florida citizens, which explains the concerted rip-off of the Florida citizenry.

Because of this unfunded liability, SHOULD PROPERTY TAXES BE REMOVED in 2026, THEY WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED BY A SALES TAX, OR OTHER INCOME STREAM TO TALLAHASSEE. The problems with this will be left to the next Governor.

DeSantis also avoided speaking about the soaring cost of living in Florida. According to Patriot Software, Florida ranks as the 12th most expensive state in which to live. The # 1-11 states are all deep blue. Some sources claim that up to 50% of Florida residents have or ARE considering moving to another state where their money goes further. What you spend $55,461 to cover in Tampa, for example, can be obtained for $50,000 in Crossville, TN.

The costs of ENERGY in the state have been rising by double digits and will continue to do so, adding to the cost of living problems, as Florida continues to run, headlong, into solar, which is only good for 5+ hours on a sunny day, without costly and hazardous back-up. The Florida Public Service Commission recently huddled with the energy providers and agreed to a plan for the future which will raise rate payers bills 40+% in the coming 4-6 years. Again, the ratepayers requested input, but were granted little to none.

On Monday, DeGov told the audience, “My message is simple. Get the bills to my desk,” DeSantis said. “In the spirit of 1776, I’m happy to put my John Hancock on those pieces of legislation.” He was referring to bills on illegal immigration, eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion programs, expanding gun rights and supporting the state’s rural areas, all of which have been issues for his entire residence in the Governor’s Mansion, but are now in the national limelight. So, now, he is eager to sign related legislation.

The ones he avoids signing are those about elections and the use of machines, and anything else that goes against the big guys. The citizen be damned. The country be damned. These bills are difficult ones for which to even find sponsorship, let alone get signed into law. As one incredible dedicated citizen who does mounds of election integrity work says, the Florida Republican Party simply has “no stomach for election integrity.” This says volumes about Governor DeSantis, and who/what he is.

There has been rigid resistance to election reform during his entire tenure

DeGov likes to brag about being tough on crime. But, as we all know, he has been anything BUT, with crimes of his party’s own making.

Then there is the scandal of Hope Florida, founded by First Lady, Casey DeSantis with $10 million of the money refunded to the state from an $67 million overcharge by Centene, the states biggest medicaid contractor. Hope Florida then proceeded to share this with two “dark money” groups. Even the Republican legislature in Tallahassee started an investigation into money laundering. Nothing has come of any investigations, and nothing will, I predict.

There is a lot of “dark money” from developers and other influencers, moving from pocket to pocket in Florida. A group of citizens have been working hard to shine light on some of it. It takes an amazing amount of time and effort to untangle even some of it.

Then, there are those DeSantis promises made but never kept. A few of the notables were “medical freedom” and voting integrity. Not only did neither of the bills for which Floridians asked become law, but, somehow, obverse and perverse bills were proposed. The right to medical freedom he granted, ended with the Covid scam cancellation. The election integrity requests crashed and burned when Tallahassee tried to pass the far-left’s bill, wherein asking an election official a question could earn a citizen jail time for harassment - without even the involvement of the law.

.....All in all, Florida suffered under Governor DeSantis. From the Trump fans in the parking lot of the Leesburg book store - which DeSantis had removed by police while he was signing his book about freedom - to the people dying of cancer IN CLUSTERS from the radioactive by-product of the Mosaic phosphate mines, which Tallahassee refused to address. See the documentary of the victims, PhosFate, to hear the sad truths for both man and beast.

Remember, it was Benjamin Franklin who told the inquiring lady in 1787 that we have “a republic, if we can keep it.”

Politicians like Ron DeSantis make it tough.

The World’s Longest-Running Lab Experiment Is Almost 100 Years Old

https://www.sciencealert.com/the-worlds-longest-running-lab-experiment-is-almost-100-years-old

Excerpt:

Sometimes science can be painfully slow. Data comes in dribs and drabs, truth trickles, and veracity proves viscous.

The world’s longest-running lab experiment is an ongoing work in sheer scientific patience. It has been running continuously for nearly a century, under the close supervision of several custodians and many spectators – and it’s ever so slowly drip, drip, dripping away.

It all started in 1927, when physicist Thomas Parnell at the University of Queensland in Australia filled a closed funnel with the world’s thickest known fluid: pitch, a derivative of tar that was once used to seal ships against the seas.

Three years later, in 1930, Parnell cut the funnel’s stem, like a ribbon at an event, heralding the start of the Pitch Drop Experiment. From then on, the black substance began to flow.

At least, that is, in a manner of speaking. At room temperature pitch might look solid, but it is actually a fluid 100 billion times more viscous than water.

It took eight years for the first droplet to finally hit the beaker below. Then, they dripped at a cadence of once every eight years or so, slowing down only after air conditioning was installed in the building in the 1980s.

Today, 96 years after the funnel was cut, only nine drops in total have seeped out. The last was in 2014.

After Parnell, fellow physicist John Mainstone took over caretaking duties in 1961. Sadly, both died without ever seeing a droplet fall with their own two eyes.

Mainstone was custodian for 52 years. In 2000, he missed a drop because a thunderstorm disrupted the live feed. He passed away just a few months before the next drop oozed out in April 2014.

Scientists expect another will fall sometime in the 2020s, but they are still waiting.

No one has ever actually seen a droplet fall directly, despite all the watchful eyes. The experiment is now live-streamed, but various glitches in the past meant that each fateful moment has slipped us by.

Physics professor Andrew White is the third and current custodian of the pitch drop experiment, keeping vigil for the long-awaited 10th drop.

The world’s longest-running lab experiment has barely begun.

BREAKING: Tarrant County Election Machines Create FAKE Vote Totals AGAIN - This Time on a Ballot with Federal Races

https://professordavidclements.substack.com/p/breaking-tarrant-county-election

Excerpt:

On Monday we dropped the story that a Hart Intercivic machine deleted a legitimate vote during a logic and accuracy test for an upcoming special election. Not only did the voting system report the wrong vote tally, but it also manipulated the ballot image within the system to agree with the fraudulent result. If that occurs in a real election, no one will ever know.

In less than 48 hours, we’ve discovered another bombshell. A voting machine was subverted yet again, during a subsequent logic and accuracy test for the upcoming Texas primaries that will take place in March, which contains local, state and federal races.

We received a second sworn affidavit, this time signed by four witnesses from both political parties, dated January 20, 2026, declaring that the Tarrant County Hart machines created a vote out of thin air. And again, the system manipulated the associated electronic ballot image to show a voting square had been filled in, when the paper ballot had no mark on it at all.

.....Tarrant County elections official, Paul Benevides, shrugged off the manipulation as a “dirty screen” and ran the test ballots through another tabulator. The second tabulator also generated the same manipulation on the same ballot, proving the problem wasn’t a “dirty screen” after all, but rather a manipulation that has been programmed into the Hart voting system in Tarrant County. As in the previous case of the deleted votes, the programming to add fraudulent votes is most likely intended to target particular ballot serial numbers.

Incredibly, even after proving that their voting system repeatably deletes and generates votes and manipulates the digital images to match the wrong result, no one in authority seems interested in getting these machines out of Tarrant County. Keep in mind that this manipulation didn’t happen in a hypothetical testing lab, but on real voting machines that will soon be used by real citizens to handle their votes – votes that represent the bedrock of our American society and our most fundamental right to govern ourselves.

Not only are Tarrant County officials ignoring this glaring elephant in the room, but state officials are ignoring it as well. The Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson is poised to re-certify the Hart system with an upgraded software called “Verity Vanguard 1.0” for use across the state. The captured federal Election Assistance Commission recently gave this software a rubber stamp certification to the Voluntary Voting System Guidelines 2.0, making it one of only two which are certified to the 2021 standard. Incredibly, the EAC also certified software from Smartmatic – the same company currently under indictment by the Department of Justice for money laundering and bribery.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is also allegedly withholding from the public an expert report that his office commissioned to evaluate the Hart Intercivic voting system - a report that is expected to be damning. But even the reports that have been published regarding the Hart system raise serious red flags. For example, expert Andrew Appel wrote in his report, “…in recent years we frequently see exploits that string together a chain of vulnerabilities. Thus, I do not consider it far-fetched or extreme to say that it could be feasible for a sophisticated actor to hack a Verity Vanguard voting system, even without insider access, and thereby commit large-scale election fraud.”

Perhaps it is no surprise that the Secretary of State is looking the other way and seeking to protect the status quo, since any admission that the system she implements and oversees can be fraudulent would reflect poorly on her, but it is troubling that Attorney General Ken Paxton has been silent on the cover-up thus far. Especially as his name is on the top of the very ballot, which yesterday, had a fraudulent vote applied to it by the Hart system.

.....The purpose of the logic and accuracy test is to demonstrate to the public that the voting system will work properly during the election. The tests have demonstrated the opposite - that the system can be expected to fabricate fake votes, delete legitimate ones, and cover it up in the digital ballot images. If the system produces fraud during the test, it will do it during the election.

.....In this case, the mandated logic and accuracy test has demonstrated that the voting system is generating fraudulent votes and manipulating the auditable record in violation of the Texas State Constitution and statutes. It must be immediately decertified by state officials.

Lastly, the Department of Justice and President Trump himself must take action on these incidents as federal candidates are on the ballot. As a matter of federal law and national security, voting machines that can be programmed to produce fraudulent results cannot be used. The administration should issue an emergency executive order requiring the hand counting of votes in all federal races with paper ballots at a precinct level and withhold disbursement of Help America Vote Act (HAVA) funds to any location using Hart Intercivic machines.
