Keep at it. It took about a decade but my geneology lady found that William Bradford is one of my 9th great grandaddies. The other one is John Chandler at the Jamestown Colony. Can’t fling a dead cat without running into a 400 year old relative.
How does DAR, and similar organizations works, as far as entry requirements go? Do you have to trace your ancestors back to the Mayflower or Jamestown?
My first ancestors came to America in 1675, and in fact we celebrated our 350th anniversary on November 19th 2025. They were young quakers, who came over with William Penn. Richard was a surveyor, and plotted the original street grid for Philadelphia. I’m an 11th generation American.
