This is The Lorenbahn, a unique narrow-gauge railway in northern Germany that connects the mainland to the Hallig island of Nordstrandischmoor across the Wadden Sea. It was built in 1933, originally to transport construction materials for sea defenses. It now serves as the primary track for the island’s approximately 20 residents.
it’s roughly 2.2 miles long and runs on an elevated embankment called the Lorendamm, which remains above water except during severe storm surges.
The railway is not open to the public. Instead, each household on the island owns its own motorized wagon, which they use to haul things like groceries, mail, and guests.
To operate a wagon drivers must be at least 15 years old and hold a moped license.

That is an awesome construct, the viewing of which was only marred by the whiner save-the-puppies music destroying the ambiance.
