Well done, America! That reminds me of something my mother told me when I was young, and the world might be a lot more peaceful if everyone lived by that same rule just demonstrated by PDJT and Secretary Hegseth.
She said “Don’t ever hit anyone first. But if someone hits you, make sure you hit them back twice as hard.” I always tried to make it 3-4 times as hard so I didn’t have to teach that lesson twice 😊

My mom did something similar. A little neighbor friend had scratched me hard enough to draw blood. I ran home shocked and despondent and talked to my mom about it. She asked,”What do you want to do?” I said,”Scratch her back!” And my mom said, “Good. Go do it.”
Looking back, she gave me permission not to be a perpetually “nice girl” and to defend myself.
