Thanks. There was a disruption, but there was no Greek dark age or centuries-long gap. There was never a group of Sea Peoples who destroyed whole civilizations. If there were, they did it without leaving any trace of themselves, such as characteristic burials, inscriptions, armor or other weapons, and most curiously, no wrecks of seagoing vessels of any kind, anywhere.

That’s not true. The Mycenaean Age ended and the Greek Dark Age began with the Dorian Invasion. The Golden Age flourished after the Dark Age.
