Because she reported immediately and didn’t wait 30 years?

That is better, but it is also a faster payout for her.

Is it possible she is telling the truth? Sure. Is it possible she is exaggerating? Sure.

A single young woman goes to an older man’s apartment to “advance her career”.

What was she expecting? He “let her go” because she said she had a meeting scheduled? Doesn’t sound much like a rape.

I think it was mixed signals. Promiscuity is common these days, and often expected.

Young women are extremely stupid these days because there feminist mothers never taught them to keep themselves out of potentially dangerous environments because “that’s fearmongering” and dampens their brave girl boss ways.

My mother taught me that all men are pigs until they prove otherwise.

However the professor has no business offering mentorship and expecting sex. That proves he is a pig.

Because here’s the thing. Men who are open and honest about their sexual interest in a women are providing the woman the opportunity to accept or reject the offer.

Networking and mentorship? That’s bait and switch predatory behavior.

She must have known what going to his apartment for “networking and mentoring” meant. I just don’t see how there is evidence to bring charges. The only evidence seems to be they found guns in his apartment and he is guilty of being a creep. If she had injuries or torn clothing or he had fired the gun or people heard her scream, that would be evidence. He may have done what she said, but people shouldn’t be prosecuted without evidence. He is presumably wealthy, which gives her a motive for false charges.

50 years ago, it was hard to get the police and prosecutors to file rape charges. Some feminists got that changed. However, even if someone may be guilty, they shouldn’t be convicted without proof.
