"When AT&T raised questions with Special Counsel Smith’s office concerning the legal basis for seeking records of members of Congress, the Special Counsel did not pursue the subpoena further, and no records were produced," David Chorzempa, general counsel for AT&T, wrote.

And that's how it's done.

This alone is enough to tell people to switch to AT&T if you find protection from the Government spying on its citizen is important.

Verizon: Can you hear them now, Agent Smith?

Yes, in many cases all you have to do is ask a question, like “WHY?” The twit/dishonest person will back off.

I personally ran into this when a company I worked for had an inhouse group all hot to trot on forcing all of our vendors to implement some program. A program the vendors would have to fund and would ensure that the inhouse program workers would have forever jobs.

But, BUT, they were unwilling to put the program requirements into a contract with each of the vendors (there were thousands).
I, as a contractor, saw this as unworkable and just asked in the roll-out meeting: “How are we gonna enforce compliance if we do not have the provision in the contract?” Silence. The meeting was shut down and the program cancelled.

ASK!
