You are certainly filled with something. I don’t pick fights i defend God’s Word including His Law.
Still waiting to read how the Ten Commandments were nailed the cross. I wonder how I could have missed that.
Don’t leave us lost people without a clue. What is the answer to the riddle?
Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them,
Those pesky early Christians worship on the first day of the week.
Yeah. So what?
Your statement in no way relates to what I said.
Namely, that people born in the 20th and 21st century have no special insights into interpreting Torah merely because they have Jewish DNA.
And that Christian gentiles are just as competent to learn ancient languages and read ancient documents. We needn't ask the rabbi down the block (who fails to see Jesus in the OT) what the OT means.
Yeah, Jesus was called a rabbi. And?
Acts 13:14, 44 Acts 16:13 Acts 17:2 Acts 18:4 ,11 The verse you quoted is when they were together and maybe for the last time. They met when they could but worshipped on the Sabbath.
your post was as clear as mud. You said “As I made clear, all rabbis were born in the 20th or 21st century. “
so....it’s YOU that doesn’t make any sense
You need a clue? Really? Read your Bible, specifically the New Testament.
It doesn’t mention Catholicism or mine doesn’t. Does yours?
I’m not a Catholic. In fact, I’m 180 opposed to it.
Okay.
If Jesus Was a Jew, Why Are We Catholic?,
Jesus was born a Jew, grew up within Jewish culture and beliefs, but His views on lifestyle, salvation and the after-life appealed to a wide cross-section of people, but fundamentally differed from those of the Jewish faith.
Some examples:
Jesus sought after and welcomed pagans and gentiles into his flock contrary to Jewish tradition limiting their numbers mostly to those born of a mother who was Jewish. He didn’t come to change the law but tended to emphasize the 10 Commandments over the dozens of Jewish laws. He acknowledged the Holy Ghost as a separate entity whereas the Jewish faith believe acknowledging the Holy Ghost and Jesus as the Son of God is heresy. Jewish tradition taught souls could be redeemed by good acts/mitzvah of their children and prayers of others; Jesus taught souls could only be redeemed through belief in Him as the Savior. Jesus also described Heaven and Hell differently. Under Christianity souls entered Heaven on an individual basis with no requirement for pre-enlightenment or a group to form; the emphasis is on belief in Jesus as The Way. Differing beliefs have developed on the ‘when’ , such as everlasting rest/sleep until Jesus returns to Earth, being subject to purgatory first, or straight to Heaven with everyone in Heaven returning to Earth for God’s kingdom. Jesus taught Heaven was already existing with The Father The Son and The Holy Ghost in residence and Hell was an eternal void of darkness and misery. Jewish tradition says there is no everlasting Hell. the soul enjoys light /enlightenment in an Eden-like place, leveling up each year, like climbing a flight of stairs and spending a year on the landing before advancing to the next flight of stairs. And, in rare instances, the soul or spirit is able to transit from that dimension back to the earthly world to assist a living relative, for instance. But that spirit or soul is never in the presence of God individually. Only after the entire body of Jewish souls has reached perfect enlightenment will Heaven be created on Earth where God will live with them as a complete group.
Jesus did not fundamentally differ from the Jewish faith. He reformed man’s corruption of this faith. This religion originated in Eden with Adam and Eve and was based on the Ten Commandments. It is only natural today’s Churchs want to separate Jesus from His Jewish essence because it spotlights their rebellion against God in their unwillingness to be grafted in. The elephant in the sanctuary is the their demotion of God’s Laws to history. Some even claim the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross! Rubbish. Jesus is our example a d we are to follow His footsteps in our daily life.
