The protests at the Portland ICE Federal building have been in process for 4 months now. Recently, the known and habitual protesters have shown up in inflatable animal costumes. Not all of course but way more than one might expect.
Still more recently the costumed protesters have begun dancing to attract the video attention. I will guess that perhaps as many as 60 % of those non habitual’s present at night use their phones to make videos. That’s what they do, take “I was there pictures”.
It has been speculated that the inflatable costumes deflect the ICE pepper spray bullets so they don’t have to back up away from the advancing ICE agents who clear the street to allow vehicle access.
So, the inflatable penis delivers two messages. It ridicules the protesters in inflatable costumes and the devistating message on the sign.
