“Home Alone” actor Daniel Stern, 68, was hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency earlier this month.
The Ventura County Fire Department told TMZ that on Oct. 7, they responded to a residence in Somis, California where an individual had to be assessed by firefighters and transported to a nearby hospital.
The individual was Stern, according to TMZ’s sources, who said the actor has since been released from the hospital.
Stern’s rep confirmed to TMZ that he’s “now doing well.”

A funny funny man that along with Joe Pesci made the Home Alone movie what it was, and Stern was hilarious in City Slickers.
One of my favorite scenes from the movie, “Diner”
“Don’t touch my records!”

“The procedure”....sounds like me talking to my wife about my tools.......sometimes being in aviation maintenance for so long is a curse. 😏
“Diner” is a highly underrated film. Great ensemble cast for the era.
Tomorrow’s never guaranteed to anyone.
Hope he gets better.
I had not seen Dennis Quade in a movie before, I remember not liking his character. Quade, Stern, and Jackie Earl Haley have had great careers in film. Dennis Christopher, the central character, however, retired from acting.
I hope Stern is ok, he’s had many great roles.
I could relate to that scene because when I was young, I would spend a lot of time arranging my albums like he did. I had those crates from Peaches.
Breaking Away... such a great little film!
Yeah you could tell Stern had some growing to do by his acting in Breaking away.
A couple of side notes about that movie.....Dennis Christopher’s dad’s character portrayed by Paul Dooley as the used car salesman was priceless.
“REFUND...REFUND!!!”....I crack up every time I’ve watched that scene.
Also, I enjoyed that movie because I’ve been a cyclist practically my whole life, and having had spent 2 years in Italy as a kid I can tell you the way the Italian cycling team was portrayed wasn’t exactly fiction. 😏
Not really that uncommon.....I knew a few dudes back in the 80s that were absolutely fanatical about their LPs and how they were arranged.......to the point I’d just tell ‘em to play a record I wanted to hear and let them handle it. Lol!
Man did I crush on Robyn Douglass in that movie, when it came out.
But I think that scene shows that before people get married they need to understand the others’ boundaries and what matters to them, even if the other partner doesn’t necessarily understand why it matters to them.
“...used car salesman...”
When Dave asks his dad for the day off because the Italian cycling team is coming to town that Saturday, his father responds, “I don’t care if the second coming’s coming!”.
Great movie!
For sure....in real life, talking to your woman like that is a great way to run her off.
Paul Dooley is still with us....
age 97. 🙂
Yep.
Two great movies. Great actors too!
Oh, yeah. Robyn had it going on. A while back some friends were talking about how different TV was when we were young and how, pre-cable and internet, it seemed like everyone you knew was watching the same crap. Someone mentioned “Tenspeed and Brownshoe,” an extremely hyped, extremely strange buddy comedy that, for like a week or three, had a lot of buzz. Anyway, i streamed an episode or two, and, wow, there was Robyn in an episode.
Also narrated The Wonder Years.
Ellen Barkin can play dog frisbee with my records, if she feels like it.
