There’s a magnetic pole flip that is due any century now. It should cause a lot of extinctions, mutations, and general havoc. It’s been said that the magnetic field is only about half what it was in ancient Roman times. The sun flips its magnetic poles every 11 years, but earth’s cycle is more chaotic and takes thousands.
There will be a lot of confused geese...............
It will happen and will probably happen suddenly. It could happen tomorrow or in several hundred years.
I try to worry about things in the order that they are most likely going to kill me. The flipping of Earth's magnetic field falls under the same category as an extinction level asteroid strike, the supernova of a nearby star, another ice age, or the eruption of the super volcano under Yellowstone park. They have all happened before and are all certain to happen again someday, but probably not within my lifetime or the lifetimes of my children, my grandchildren, or the next several generations of their descendants.
That is what I was thinking.
“There’s a magnetic pole flip that is due any century now. It should cause a lot of extinctions, mutations, and general havoc.”
It takes about 7,000 years for a pole reversal.
“There’s a magnetic pole flip that is due any century now.”
Yep, a physical flip causing crustal displacement. Ancient tradition claims that the Sun once rose from the West before the last world destruction.
The solution is simple. Ban iron.
