It’s unclear whether Democrats managed to self-destruct on their own or were manipulated into it. The party of Really Big Government handed the administration a blank check for wholesale layoffs. Maybe Democrats believe a shutdown will encourage voters to rise up and demand restoring positions. Maybe they’re just insane. Nobody will notice or care if hundreds of thousands of surplus federal workers are fired, except the workers. That is the result when the Democrat senate leader thinks the way to cook a cheeseburger on a BBQ grill is to start off by laying cheese on raw hamburger meat.

“Education” is not in the Constitution. Not a single dime of federal funds usurped and redistributed by the feds should be the policy, where are the 50 states fighting for their own money. Just forgot for a second, it’s the uniparty from dog catcher on up to the house/senate, silly me.
