LOL!! Apparently the story Charlize Theron tells is that her father was an alcoholic. In my opinion, the story she tells in various articles has some holes in it. Her father was drunk and came into the house with a weapon. She and her mother retreated into a back bedroom. He was trying to push on the door to get in. They were pushing on it, to keep it closed. Charlize says her father took a step back and fired three shots into the door, which miraculously missed them. How could she know her father had taken a step back when the door was closed? Somehow through all this, her mother was in possession of a weapon and shot through the door, killing her husband. This all happened in South Africa when she was 15. Where the mother got the weapon while she was in the back bedroom has never been explained...at least not in any of the interviews Charlize has given about it.
If that’s the whole story, there’s more holes in it than the door? Actually she got robbed by people with taste and sophistication. A Beemer ain’t a run of the mill Corolla, if than EV that’s double points. 🙂
Why would an explanation be necessary, especially in SA? I have one on top of my dresser......
