Holy compression socks, Batman; will he be ok?
That’s right. I’d love to see him lose some weight - just as I’d love to lose some weight myself. I’m 73 and should weigh maybe 30 pounds less, ideally. Losing just 20 would probably do me wonders.
Easier said than done. I managed to quit smoking 20 years ago, but that’s more cut and dry - since you are abstaining altogether - not just from the cigarettes, but also from the entire social ritual of smoking.
Cutting out unhealthy food and limiting myself to healthy proportions is much more difficult for me, because I’m still eating meals and still participating in the same social rituals.
I jokingly(?) blame my wife - since without her, it would be far easier to eat only when I’m hungry, and only have healthy food in the refrigerator. It’s hard to turn down delicious food when offered, especially when your wife is an over-nurturing Italian.
If I were ever to say I’m not hungry, she would likely be put off and ask me what’s wrong.
That's why he was hired.
Agreed.
Aspartame.....I’m surprised JFK Jr. Hasn’t set his sites on that crap.....bad juju.
If PDJT is as sick as the Democrats are claiming, he could linger another 18 months. Then Vance would have two consecutive at bats
“Trump is elderly. Eats crap. Runs circles around others. He can drink more water. Cut back on salt. Prop his feet up.”
“socks are too tight”
I had swelling in my ankles. The Dr. gave me a diuretic. How long will I have to take this? From now on.
I said F that. I stopped wearing socks, PERIOD! Even in snowy winter. I wear oversized shoes (bigger than my normal size.) No tight fitting shoes. I always put my feet up (recliner) when in my chair.
No more swelling. Only an occasional flare up. Very seldom.
What galls me

Don’t get to galled up.
Most people know this as “varicose veins.”
🙂👍

Also, collagen peptides help older people who make less collagen. Look for collagen peptides from Gelita. I recommend Verisol, which can be purchased inexpensively from Costco's online option on occasional sales (it's how we do it). This will help skin, hemorrhoids, and varicose veins with useful Type 1 Collagen, which is lacking. For hemorrhoids and varicose veins, it is a higher ratio or Type III to Type 1, coupled with a higher protein amount instead of collagen, in one study I've read.
Also, ergothioneine is very helpful for maintaining the endothelial layer in our vessels. This is most available in foods from Oyster and Maiitake mushrooms, but some is in white and brown button mushrooms, as well. For a supplement, the DoubleWood L-Ergothioneine at $10 for 60 capsules is a steal off Amazon.
The Diosmin and such we use is Doctors Best in their Vein formula. We get that from Amazon.
These things make a big difference and my wife's varicose veins she had even before we were married have gotten much better.
bttt
Thank you ConservativeMind for the reply. Sounds interesting.
I have zero respect for that slimy Muir.
With all the sodium in McDs it’s no wonder his ankles are swollen.
The results are in:
Always wear gloves, Davy, during a swollenoscopy, As the slime, goo, and smell stay stuck long after. 🐾
“With all the sodium in McDs it’s no wonder his ankles are swollen.”
Yeah, it’s not exactly healthy.
I attribute at least in part eating McDs sausage biscuits regularly to having to be stented in 2016.
Since then, I couldn’t tell you when the last time was I ate that food.
