If all goes well, they hope to bring the drug to market by 2030 and usher in a time when people with oral problems can finally smile again.

Maybe this could be the beginning of regeneration of other body parts.

My dentist keyed me into this research after I lost two back molars to popcorn kernels. Said I should wait on a partial plate since this research is reaching maturation and I’m a prime candidate since I still have a baby tooth in place at age 64 and my wisdom teeth have just started coming in. For decades they assumed I had no wisdom teeth because they never showed on x-rays. A few years ago the two upper teeth appeared pretty much out of nowhere and are slowly dropping down into position.
