Russia declines to reveal ceasefire terms in Ukraine talks

The Kremlin has not yet disclosed what conditions it will propose for a ceasefire with Ukraine, nor whether those terms will appear in a draft memorandum, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

Peskov noted that there is no need to publicly discuss the contents of the draft documents, News.Az reports, citing TASS.

"We won’t publicly discuss the contents of the draft documents that [the parties] are supposed to exchange. The reason is because talks should always be held behind closed doors rather than in public," the Kremlin spokesman added.

Should the US or Iran release their negotiating points? As a retired diplomat, I find this article ridiculous. There is a total absence of common sense and the way the real world works.

“Ukraine presented its conditions to the US. Not sure why you can’t seem to understand that.”

Because Kellogg LIED to Trump to get the stupid job. He somehow convinced Trump that Putin would be happy with what he occupied and wouldn’t mind Ukraine then joining NATO. That was a LIE, as anyone with half a brain knew that was a non-starter.

So, until I get to read the draft, I’ll just assume Kellogg is lying again.

By the way, if Trump wants to give the US 2 weeks before CRASHING our (meaning US) economy with Graham’s “Bone-Crushing Sanctions”, then why should Russia care...after all, Russia is working to their own timetable regarding the liberation of Ukraine.

Why would either side negotiate in public?

Its NOT about negotiating in public, its about including the US in the negotiations.

Russia is refusing to allow the US to participate in the negotiations, which then makes it impossible to judge russian sincerity.

Moscow Rejects US Role, Says Ceasefire Memo for Kyiv Only

Moscow will present its ceasefire memorandum to Kyiv only, a Russian official said, dismissing the US envoy’s claim that Washington is awaiting the proposal.

“We agreed that each side – Russia and Ukraine – would prepare its own vision of the modalities of settlement and ceasefire, after which they would exchange the relevant documents directly and discuss them at the next round,” Zakharova said, according to a readout of the press conference shared by Russian media RIA Novosti.

“We had no agreements on the mediation of the US or other countries in the exchange of projects,” she added.

The US controls Ukraine’s negotiating position in this proxy war. Zelensky has no cards. We dictate the terms that Ukraine adopts.

Yes, because in high level negotiations between the US, Russia and Ukraine, BobL should be included. Idiocy

Why do you need to put words in my mouth - because I don’t believe people who have LIED to this country?

If Kellogg wasn’t LYING to Trump, Trump would have known that Russia is not stopping until its objectives are met.

Ukraine only conducts a PR War. They cannot negotiate becuase their masters, a product of the American school system, cannot debate in schools.

This article and it’s headline is further evidence of the PR War. The emotions that popped with rage at seeing the Russians wound not disclose....

In the 1960s inquiring minds discovered that integrating the schools and then lowering the standards, only achieved partically useful Goverment results; implementation of Leave No Chile Behind was the final destruction of a school system geared for an IQ of 70....

Eighty-three is the IQ generally known to make a human useful for basic military service as a truck driver, or bullet stopper.

Given the state of American Education, any increase the cognitative awareness of people with IQs north of 90 would mean most if not all of the Political/Intelligence Agency manipulation of the population via headlines and soundbites would not give the desired results.

Using the lowest denomination (how do I say this without being a racist - I won’t mention race), of the cognitively challenged has been a success story for the America, and the Ukrainains.

That’s between Trump, Ukraine and Russia. Isn’t that the point of closed door negotiations.

Did you how zeeper minds work. They want the negotions made public. Their education has failed them, but they are ripe for exploitation by propoganda. Later in the threat I have mentioned a bit on this.

Okay, you are so emotional you miss the humorous posts or sarcasm.

This is always the problem when dealing with the left is the emotional overload. Of course conservatives were given the same education, so oftentimes within conservative circcles emotion takes over first.

Feel, stop and count to ten. Breath, think (can you do that) then type.

Thanks, but the ones here are professions, they ARE the propaganda as it’s OBVIOUS to anyone that listens to both sides of the conflict that it has to be settled on the battlefield...and they know it full-well.

About the only secret that we seem able to keep is who, exactly, was running the country during the Biden Administration.

Yeppers. "Russia Bad."

Some Head talked about the Ukraine draft resolution on FauxNews, so all the Ukiebots are spewing that line like good little ducks.

Now we have to listen to them for a week.

“Now we have to listen to them for a week.”

It certainly sounds like they got their anti-Putin orders recently. Don’t know why they bother spamming this relatively small site so much - perhaps they just have budget to burn, as they certainly won’t be flipping people to the Neocon cause, not here!

“LOL, so is Putin too shy to list his demands publicly, or are his demands so outrageous, ie demanding Ukraine surrender, that the whole world will recognize Putin doesn’t really want peace just the subjugation of Ukraine.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Exactly — you hit the nail on the head.
Putin is fully aware that his demands are outrageous and unrealistic, and that’s precisely why he keeps them under wraps. Beneath his calculated exterior, there’s a shyness — a recognition that openly stating his goals would only invite ridicule.

This entire maneuver is a classic Russian tactic — not just strategic, but psychological. It’s aimed at humiliating Trump. After Trump called him “crazy” the other day, Putin took it personally. Now, he’s playing a longer, colder game — one designed to undermine and embarrass in return.

Pure kabuki theater. The US is in direct contact with the Russians. Both have reasons to make it appear that Ukraine is an independent actor. And Zelensky needs the cover domestically.

At the beginning of the kinetic war in Feb 2022, Russia had four demands

Territorial Recognition:

Russia demands that Ukraine recognize the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of parts of the Donbas region (Luhansk and Donetsk). This is a significant point of contention, as Ukraine and the international community do not recognize these territorial changes.

Ukrainian Neutrality:

Russia has pushed for Ukraine to adopt a neutral status, meaning it would not join any military alliances, particularly NATO. This is a major concern for Ukraine, as NATO membership is seen as a crucial security guarantee.

Demilitarization and “Denazification”:

Russia has called for Ukraine to reduce its military capabilities and has also accused Ukraine of being a “Nazi” state, demanding regime change. This has been met with strong condemnation from Ukraine and its allies.

Limited Western Support:

Russia wants Ukraine to cease receiving military and financial aid from Western countries, particularly the United States and its allies. This is seen as a way to isolate Ukraine and limit its ability to resist Russian aggression.

Ukraine has lost the war. It The bulk of the Russian demands will obtain. There will be no return to the original territory of Ukraine either in 1991 or before 2022. There will be no NATO membership. All of this death and destruction could have been avoided if Biden had pursued a diplomatic solution.

Well, since Uk has long been regarded as the most corrupt in Europe, mebbe subjugation for a generation or so is best for humanity. Might at least have a shot at cutting back on Uk’s two biggest industries; sex trafficking and money laundering.

In that time mebbe the Ukrainians who left, millions, might consider going back.

Russia has made its demands known for over a year. Ukraine must 1) conceded all annexed territory 2) Remain politically neutral 3) No NATO presence in Ukraine 4) Full protection of the rights of Russian speaking and Orthodox Christians remaining in Ukraine.

It's either that or Ukraine will continue to shrink and, eventually, no longer exist.

Yep, that’s why they got so much land so quickly,

It wasn't because the world didn't know their intentions. While they lied to the world for months, their 'secret' intentions were openly and accurately broadcast to the world.

and held on to most of it in the east.

After getting their ass handed to them at Hostomel airport they had to retreat from most of the territory they had entered, hence your caveat about 'the east'. Years and years later they measure their gains in units that would make WW1 generals embarrassed.
