Agreed. We ought to have major parades on Aug 15 (or Sep 2 was the formal signing) to commemorate Japan surrendering. We ought to show pictures of atrocities the Japanese did to China -— as a reminder that China would still be Japan’s “comfort woman” if Japan hadn’t attacked Peral Harbor.

Yeah, my dad volunteered to enter the war, his first assignment was the beach landing at Okinawa. He was a medic, and he never discussed what he witnessed. The battle for that little island was brutal. He was on the island when a private came and told them that the United States had dropped a bomb that destroyed a whole city. They did not believe him. But shortly after the second bomb was dropped the War was over.
