I'd have had no objection if they had said the truck could carry a sheet of plywood. My F250 will hold sheets of plywood, i.e. entirely within the bed with the tailgate closed, but it will carry twelve-foot 2x4s, with part of their length sticking out the back.

Yeah. I can get 8’ lumber and even 2x8 sheets of plywood into my first generation Scion xB. But not 4x8.
