Okay, I read post #28, which I had purposely skipped over and guess what? With a few exceptions ( and most of those had been around long before Peale put them in his books ), I
STILL find his stuff absolute CRAP ON WHEELS and extremely distasteful in an overtly saccharine, naive way; not to mention the fact that some are SO insufferably wrong, it makes my skin crawl.
Emile Coue, he who introduced THE first "power of positive thinking" stuff with: "EVERYDAY, IN EVERY WAY, I'M GETTING BETTER AND BETTER", way back in the 1920s, gave me fits of giggles, as a small child, when my grandmother told me all about him.
