It always breaks my heart to look at pictures of young recruits in WWII. So young! I’m sure you’ve watched ‘Band of Brothers.’ Wish I could say that I ENJOYED it, but it was really well done.

At age 107(?), and age 16.

One of many in his time who lied about his age in order to enlist. Not sure that can be done these days.

Legend holds that some folks lied about their sex during that dustup in the 1860s, in order to enlist. Definitely can't pull that off today.
