So 6 slices for a BLT is bad?
Don’t care!

My fav is Oscar Mayer pre-cooked Thick Cut.
Get it on sale at my Kroger.
Makes a quick club sandwich.
Chicken salad on the bottom layer and BLT on the top.
HMM, HMM, good eating.
For the record, many have called me crazy, but no one has called me demented.

I skimmed the article quickly but the study "appeared" to find a statistical
correlation, not causation. Its conclusions are useful for hypothesis generation and public health guidance but should not be taken as proof that processed meat definitively causes dementia.
I think I'll have some bacon and eggs for lunch.;-)

Each daily serving of processed meat was associated with about 1.6 years of accelerated brain aging in cognitive function tests
If that is the case, my brain is 300 years old. A foot-long sausage grinder has at least four servings of processed meat. Then there is the occasional Wendy's Double Baconator. Just the name is good for a few weeks of aging.

Grandad was German immigrant, meaning a LOT of processed meats such as sausage, bratwurst, etc.
Lived to be 89.

So? I might not be able to remember your name, but at least I’ll be happy.

So, if I eat bacon, I get dementia. If I don’t I go crazy. Some choice.

No wonder I can’t remember my name!

I bet 100% of the people who got dementia drank water at some point in their lives too.

don’t eat process meat made with preservatives, esp nitrates and nitrites. I buy bacon from a local producer... its forest raised and and salt cured

If true all cave men and women would have died the first winter if they didn’t eat red meat and followers wouldn’t have made all the great things they did.
End of the history of man kind.

Oh no! My favorite is 6 slices, two eggs, on a fresh biscuit, w/pepper cheese.
I probably won’t last another week, so I’m going surfing.
