I would think that direct copy would be worth some bucks.
A critically acclaimed mastering engineer provided that gift to me...and so many more master tape copies.
Additionally, I provided technical assistance on 6 or so classic & iconic albums re-mastered and he listed me in the mastering credits on those albums.
Finally, he was invited to Abbey Road to finalize a contract to remaster the Beatles catalogue. While there, he received master tape copies of their catalogue as well as numerous unreleased studio demos...and he gifted mt copies if those, too.
Sadly, his record label would lose money on every sale so he & label president had to walk away.
Later, he did remaster McCartney’s first 2 solo albums.
Over time, I received master tape copies of so many - Stones, Beach Boys, Sinatra, NatKingCole, Sonny&Cher, Searchers, RodStewart, EvaCassidy, Doobies, ...and so many more and most were “dry” before the dreaded reverb was added for the commercial release.
All that said, I could never sell those gifts - priceless and sentimental.
