How on earth is a convicted murderer considered a non-violent offender???

It is ok to commit murder by poison but not by shooting someone?

I take it back, all her victims were shot in cold blood. So much for “non-violent”

Because she was convicted of insurance fraud? The prosecutor dropped at least one murder charge, because the defense attorney said she would spend the rest of her life in prison.

From the article:

She was initially charged with murder but was convicted on federal insurance fraud charges and avoided another murder trial after her attorney argued she would likely die in prison, as she was 55 at the time.
