Since one of the top candidates was said to be his chief bodyguard, I was thinking it was smart not to make the man annoyed by not making it clear who was going to get that job. Keep him wondering. And protecting.
Because he wants to live past January 21st.
Hey! It’s a SECRET.
Have to take a big haircut salary wise..
Bonginio is more effective with his radio show, IMHO.
It is a good question. Maybe he’s waiting to get a better feel on who to axe and replace and who to keep. Things take a little time, and I’m sure he is making plans.
He has to be protected by the current guys now. This appointment should probably wait until closer to inauguration.
Re Bongino: Dan would be a great hire for Director, but I see him more as chairman of a board of visitors that reviews the structure and behavior of the SS. Put a Special Forces colonel (retired or currently active) at the helm of the agency.
I don’t know if Bongino has sufficient adminstrative experience and skills. Being a rank and file worker doesn’t mean people are qualified or competent to run the show.
Possibly playing it close to the vest.
Because it is a secret?
I believe that he has produced a clone of Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria and the experienced secret-service leader has the inside track...

Secret Service Deputy Director Ronald Rowe will temporarily serve as the agency’s leader after Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned following widespread criticism after an attempted assassination against former President Donald Trump.
Cheatle announced her resignation amid bipartisan calls for her to step down following a contentious hearing with the House Oversight Committee on Monday about the shooting at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
Lawmakers accused her of not answering their questions about how gunman Matthew Thomas Crooks was able to fire shots at the rally, grazing Trump’s ear and killing one other rallygoer.
“I take full responsibility for the security lapse. In light of recent events, it is with a heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to step down as your director,” she said in the resignation letter, according to the AP.
Anyway, a temp appt that Trump can take care of any time.
Bongino doesn’t want the job. He’d be happy to be part of a committee to look into the recent systemic failures at the Secret Service and it’s senior staff, but he does not want to give up his daily radio gig and his stake in Rumble.com for a full time government position.
Nobody wants to assign people to the Bidens wait until he is in office and the assignments are done. Who knows where the Bidens will end up.
Probably because he will use his own security team, like he did last time.
The director of the secret service is an appointed position but does not require senate confirmation so I don’t think it requires as much lead time.
DB is far more valuable right where he is.
Dan isn’t the guy for the job but I am sure he knows who would be.
